On the southern edge of the plains, the land is very inviting with green grass, and lovely trees. However, as you get closer and closer to the badlands, the ground becomes dry and cracked and vegetation begins to brown and be more sparse. Trees also begin to wither the closer to the badlands you come. One thing however, everyone can agree on. The plains always seem to be peaceful.
Peaceful looking, but very deceiving. The Jekkal Plains is host to many large & deadly predators that camouflage in well with the environment. Travelers passing through know to look for small game to know if an area is safe or not. If a rabbit starts running, so should you.
Also in the area live nomadic trading villages. While outwardley friendly, they are harsh traders with keen and discerning eyes.
